Silicone roof coatings can be applied over a wide variety of structurally sound roofing substrates, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, and CSPE single-ply membranes; aged or previously coated metal roofs; Built-Up Roofing (BUR), modified bitumen, and cap sheets; spray polyurethane foam (SPF); and most existing acrylic and urethane coatings. Asphaltic substrates sometimes require an asphalt bleed blocker primer to prevent oils from bleeding through the coating.
